When you’re just getting started with Shopify, you’ll have to go through the standard “learning curve”.
Shopify is your go-to ecommerce platform, and it’s great for those who have a creative streak, you create your own store to your liking.
With Shopify you have 100% full control of your business where you can create your own brand. Shopify has low fees (under 3%) and you would need to do your marketing and advertisements to scale your business.
On top of all that, Shopify has the best tools, apps, and much more to help you get even more sales with your store.
When you install Shopify app all the permissions required to do, are requested from you. This can be things like reading your products, manipulating your data, or even modifying your entire theme.
Apps can have a lot of power! Granting permission to read and write your data and theme can impact both your business and your customers.
If an app has read/write permissions it allows itself to make any modifications desired to the theme, including adding scripts that do finish any function at all. Because it can modify the theme on demand this also means it can avoid detection by only appearing at certain times of the day.
When we say the scripts can do anything at all this can be so many different things. A bad app could aim to infect your visitors with malware, run a bitcoin miner, redirect to shady sites, fake traffic, and more.
For the most part, Shopify apps are safe to use but you would need to be extremely diligent and do you research, and not just within the Shopify app store. Research the apps elsewhere too.
The bottom line is that you should trust the app developer before installing an app in your shop. With thousands of apps to police, unfortunately, even apps in the Shopify App Store can hide suspicious behavior.
Which Shopify plan to use?
We receive Shopify pricing plans questions on daily basis. It’s something that not only our customers but also other merchants ask about. What is Shopify’s Cost? How does Shopify pricing work? And how can it fit your business needs?

To be honest and straightforward, we have been using three ecommerce solutions for 6+ years: Woocomenrce, Shopware, and Shopify. We’re an official Shopify Expert and this review will be made from an ecommerce solution angle. We won’t sacrifice our credibility by pushing you to sign up with Shopify, but we’ll try our best to outline Shopify’s pricing in detail, so that you can decide for yourself.
Here’s a short introduction to the three most popular Shopify Plans. The Shopify pricing structure is very simple – you pay a fixed fee and a transaction fee, which differ depending on the plan you choose.
Shopify Basic: $29 per month and 2.9% of the value of the transaction + 30 cents.
Shopify: $79 per month and 2.6% of the value of the transaction + 30 cents.
Shopify Advanced: $299 per month and 2.4% of the value of the transaction + 30 cents.
The transaction fee above is effective when you use the Shopify Payments solution. This solution has been created in partnership with Stripe payment processor. Not everyone can use Shopify Payments as it’s only available in selected countries. Click here to understand whether you’re eligible for Shopify payments or not.
Shopify Basic starts from just $29 per month, complete with an easy-to-use online store builder and 24/7 customer service support. There is no limitation on ‘bandwidth’; if you’re new to this term then I’ll explain it for you. Basically, it means that regardless of whether it’s 1 or 1,000 merchants visiting your online store every day, Shopify has no set limit on the amount of traffic you can process.
When you’re just getting started with Shopify, you’ll have to go through the standard “learning curve”. There’s nothing to fear with Shopify’s 24/7 support team, which is available via phone, chat, email, and community forum.

• $1.5 million in monthly sales x 0.25% (.0025) = $3,750 in monthly fees.
• $5 million in monthly sales x 0.25% (.0025) = $12,500 in monthly fees.

Shopify transaction fee
Shopify Payments supports major credit and debit cards such as VISA, Master Card, American Express, JCB, and others. For each transaction, Shopify charges a certain fee depending on your Shopify plan. At first glance you might think it’s a lot of money… and, ouch… why do I have to use Shopify Payments and pay such a fee?
The Shopify Payments process involves a security check of the owner of the credit card being charged, all in order to make sure that the transaction is genuine. What does it mean for you as a business owner? You’ll be safe and can fulfill the product order with confidence that you have a customer, not a scammer.
So, in regards to the Shopify transaction fee, here are the numbers:
• Shopify Basic: 2.9% of the value of the transaction + 30 cents.
• Shopify: 2.6% of the value of the transaction + 30 cents.
• Shopify Advanced: 2.4% of the value of the transaction + 30 cents.
